Fast-pace English runs above 160 words per minute, with all the features speakers use when they are not thinking about a learner audience. Contractions stack onto contractions (shouldn’t’ve, prolly, gimme), entire syllables drop, and rapid delivery makes word boundaries blur. Vocabulary may include current slang and references no textbook would ever include. This is the section for advanced learners ready to be uncomfortable; even native speakers do not catch every word at this speed and rely on prediction to fill in. That predictive listening is the real skill this section trains, and it develops only by spending time inside fast speech. Watch once for the gist, then drill the rough patches: replay specific seconds, slow the playback to 0.75x if you need to, transcribe the parts that resist parsing on the first pass. Replays are not failure; they are the practice.
